About the Project
Pantami Primary School, one of the largest in Gombe State, serves nearly 4,750 students yet for the past seven months, the school has been without a functional water source. The only borehole, provided years ago by a Non-Governmental Organization, has stopped working.
This situation has created a serious health and sanitation crisis within the school:
No water for toilets or handwashing
No hygiene support for girls during menstruation
Increased risk of waterborne and hygiene-related diseases
The absence of clean water not only affects learning and sanitation but also threatens the well-being of the students, teachers, and their families when children return home from school.
Our Goal
SUDWASH is launching Project Pantami Malamkuri to repair and upgrade the broken borehole system and introduce a chlorination and maintenance plan that ensures a reliable supply of safe, clean water to the school community.
This project seeks to:
Restore clean water access for over 4,750 students and staffs
Improve sanitation and hygiene standards across the school
Protect students from disease outbreaks
Promote menstrual hygiene and dignity for girls
Call to Action
This is not just about water - it’s about health, dignity, and the future of children.
SUDWASH is calling on policymakers, NGOs, community leaders, and well-meaning individuals to partner with us in restoring water access to Pantami Primary School.
Together, we can prevent a potential health crisis and bring hope, safety, and dignity back to the classrooms of Pantami Malamkuri.
